About

A consultancy for businesses that are tired of being sold to

Moonfleck exists because the AI conversation has been captured by people selling platforms. Small and medium businesses were left with enormous hype, very little practical guidance, and quotes written for organisations ten times their size.

What we actually do

Two halves of the same job

The first half is consulting. Working out where AI genuinely helps in your business, what it will cost, what it will save, and in what order to do things. Often the most valuable output of this stage is a shorter list than the one you arrived with.

The second half is building. We are not a strategy firm that hands you a document and leaves. We design and build the agents, the systems, the integrations and the bespoke software, and we stay involved while your team learns to run it.

Almost everything we build is for businesses between five and two hundred people. That constraint shapes everything: budgets are real, nobody has a spare IT department, and the work has to pay for itself quickly.

Principles

How we behave

We will talk you out of it

If AI is not the right answer to your problem, we say so on the first call. It costs us a project and saves you a great deal more.

Fixed scope, fixed price

You get a written scope and a number before anything starts. No day rates that quietly expand, no surprise change requests.

You own everything

Source code, data, accounts and documentation are yours. We do not build dependencies on ourselves into the work.

Small enough to care

You work with the people building the thing, not an account manager relaying messages to a team you never meet.

Engagement

What working with us looks like

Four steps, no surprises, and an exit point at every stage.

  1. 1

    A free half hour

You describe the problem. We ask awkward questions and tell you whether we think there is something here. No charge, no obligation, no slide deck.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, approach, timeline, fixed price and the measure of success, in plain English. Usually within a week of the call.

  3. 3

    The build

Weekly demonstrations of working software. You see progress continuously rather than waiting for a reveal at the end.

  4. 4

    Handover and support

Training for your team, documentation written for humans, and a support arrangement only if you actually want one.
