This policy explains what personal data Moonfleck collects through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read rather than to be impressive.

Who we are

Moonfleck is an AI consulting and software development business operating in the United Kingdom. For data protection purposes we are the data controller for information submitted through this website. You can reach us at hello@moonfleck.com.

What we collect

• Enquiry details. When you use a contact form we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to tell us, such as your company, phone number and a description of your project.
• Tool inputs. When you use one of our free tools we store the answers you give and the result produced, so we can improve the tools. You only provide an email address if you choose to.
• Technical information. Standard server logs, including IP address and browser type, retained for security and reliability.

Why we use it

We use enquiry details to respond to you and, if we work together, to deliver the service. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, or performance of a contract once one exists. We use tool inputs on the basis of legitimate interests to understand which tools are useful and where they mislead.

We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertising networks, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.

AI processing

Some features on this site send the text you type to a third-party AI model to generate a response. Do not enter personal data about other people, or confidential business information, into these tools. The content you submit is not used to train the underlying models.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for three years from your last contact with us, so we have a record of what was discussed. Tool submissions are kept for twelve months. Server logs are kept for ninety days. We delete sooner on request.

Where it is stored

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with access limited to the people who need it. Where a supplier processes data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we are using it, or ask us to restrict processing. Email hello@moonfleck.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies and local storage strictly necessary to make pages work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so no consent banner is required.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting existing clients will be communicated directly.
